#BBTAwards will uplift and shine a spotlight on the performances and productions that have captivated audiences over the past year. And, in this pivotal moment in history, it will champion representation through the recognition of exceptional Black talent in British theatre.
Hosted by Eddie Nestor, with special guest presenters including: Sharon Watson (Northern School of Contemporary Dance) Dawn Hope (Follies), Obioma Ugoala (Hamilton), Jason Pennycooke (Hamilton) and Danny Sapani (Star Wars: The Last Jedi & Black Panther), and Akosua Boakye (AkomaAsa Arts).

Costume design has always been a pivotal, but an often forgotten aspect of theatre making. Where tights are involved, we've seen many a beige leg on actors of colour on stages and on screen, which is why we wanted to support the future of Black British costume designers.
